Between celebrating my 29th birthday and watching Germany beat England in the World Cup, I actually managed to cram in some make up pictures and I'm really happy with them! I bought some nail art sequins on friday and tried to recreate their iridescence on my lids as well. I also included some of the sequins - this looks cooler in real life, as the light always changes and they capture the light differently. I also used some turquoise mascara on my lower lashes which was more obvious than it appears in the photos...

Shu Uemura Recreation
Hi everyone,
long time no see! Lots of things going on... I hope to be back to posting more regularly again but honestly cannot promise right now - hope you understand!
Anyway, I bought those gorgeous feather lashes at Ricky's in NYC and decided to do a recreation of this Shu look:
I am not sure about the glittery stuff on her cheek... I tried glitter, but don't think it looks good enough. Anyone have any ideas for better stuff to use?

Hot Pink Flowers
I need to get a finer liner brush. I really do. Painting things is so much harder if you don't have an adequate brush for it.. Anyway this was inspired by a pattern on a box of flase lashes I bought in London. The lid colours are basically hot pink, black and dark purple, and the flowers are several shades of pink with pink flowers and rhinestones:

Butterfly
As most of you probably noticed, the blog has been revamped and now has a pretty new layout! I really like the colours and patterns - it just feels very "me", that's why I picked it mostly. The only thing I'm not so sure about are the double columns to the right - I'd have preferred to have one on each side!
This week's look was a request from Sofia via the Chatbox - she wanted a butterfly look involving lime green, turquoise, pink and purple. I'm sorry I did not really use purple - but I'm sure you could find a way of adding some to this look :)

Surreal Mermaid
You all probably know I have a weakness for all kinds of aquatic colours - seafoam, turquoise, mint, you name it. And the most beautiful in my opinion is Surreal by MAC,that gorgeous seafoam shade with a subtle gold shimmer. Besides, I've been wanting to try the "fishnet" technique for some time, so I took this wonderful opportunity :)
I started with the fish scales pattern by applying MAC Surreal and Meadowland on top of stretched fishnet tights so the scale patters reflects subtly on my skin. The I applied Surrwal to my lids as well as Plumage in the crease and Platinum to highlight the inner lid. The lashes I found at Claire's, they're very long and very feathery! On the lower lid, I'm wearing p2 Lengthening lashes cut into singles. I also glued on some iridescent rhinestone drops to create a kind of "fishtail" in the outer corner:

Violet Duchess
I've been ill since last friday, so I try to make good use of my time and paint a little :) Nothing too complicated, but I was feeling like some blue/purple combo today. The lid was done with MAC Lovely Lily and Violet pigments, and the crease is MAC Cool Heat, Lime Crime Duchess and Pure Luxe Turquoise Aura. The liner essence Pretty Cool is feathered out in the outer corner and I added some teal sequins for that glamour touch.
My eye colour is not real in these pics of course! Brightness and contrast were adjusted in PS.
